Scanning Equipment:

Aichelin / - EMA also manufactures vertical scanning equipment. The material is fixtured (clamped) in the center pathway and the hardening inductor/quench component are moved vertically along a controlled axis. Aichelin / EMA has within its product portfolio various types of vertical scanners, single and twin station. Also, for various hardening lengths there are machine sizes that can accommodate hardening lengths of 400 mm to 3,000 mm (16" to118")

Capacities / Options:

UMK-400 Series

  • Developed for small to medium sized parts (ex. screws, pins, bolts, etc.)

  • Automated process can include multi-coiled configurations followed by subsequent quenching and material handling off loading.

  • Revolving and indexing turntable axis minimizes floor space requirements.

UM Vertical Scanner

  • Developed for small, medium and large sized shaft-type components.

  • Standardized designs available, in addition to customized engineered systems.

  • Precision/automatic handling of the work piece via CNC control type methodology including linear guide and control.

  • Availability for remote communication of the control system via modem interface. Ability to communicate back and forth between system and Aichelin Tech Service personnel off site.

Induction Melting 

  • Electrically conducive metals such as steel, non-ferrous metals, light alloys and precious metals can be melted by induction heating. 

  • Application benefits include shorter melting time, accurate control of melting temperatures, better repeatability and uniformity of temperature gradient across melting crucible.

  • Systems available in tilting or vertical stroke design.
